Adults & The Elderly

Music is important to people at all stages of life. Often as adults we need more support and help in processing and expressing our emotions and experiences than we did as young people.  For adult clients, reasons for referral into Music Therapy might include:

  • Anxiety, depression or trauma related symptoms

  • End of life work - processing and preparing for endings

  • Grief and loss work

  • Well being work for adults living with learning disabilities

  • Relationship work or systemic family issues

  • Family work within fostering and adoption services

  • Helping with rehabilitation with addiction or eating disorders

  • Well being work for people living with dementia

  • Working within the prison system to help offenders work towards release

  • Borderline Personality Disorders within secure settings
